Questions people ask

Is this a Digambar or a Shvetambar temple?
It is a Digambar Jain temple, and the adjoining museum is run by a Digambar Jain body, the Malwa Prantik Sabha.
How old is the temple?
We could not find a reliable published date for the temple or its images. The museum beside it was founded in 1944, and many of its sculptures are medieval pieces from Malwa.
What is in the Jain museum?
About 560 Jain sculptures and artefacts collected from Malwa and nearby regions, shown in galleries for the 24 Tirthankaras, Adinath, Parshvanath and Jain sculpture in general, plus an auditorium with documentary and 3D film shows.

The Shri Digambar Jain Malwa Prantik Sabha, Badnagar, founded it in 1944. Shri Satyandhar Kumar Sethi is credited with a major role in establishing it and collecting the images. The present building opened in April 2015.

The museum's website stated 8 AM to 7 PM, open all days. As that website is no longer online, please confirm locally.
